We believe in the Ministry of funeral service. Offering each family an opportunity to select and personalize a service that both honors there loved one but also celebrates their unique life in a way that is most meaningful to the family.

Facilities

Our funeral home is conveniently located in northeast Newton, Iowa, just 2.5 miles north from Exit 168 on Interstate 80. Contact us for further assistance on directions from your location.

Our facility has been specially designed to be homey, comfortable and accommodating to each individual family, large or small.

• Handicap Accessible, both inside and out.
• On-site Grief Resource Library available to the public.
• Large off street parking lot available, well lit and marked.
• Social room for coffee times or lunches following services.
• Arrangement Area featuring a ¼ cut casket selection room, vault display, a cremation selection room featuring 1/8 cut cremation casket display, cremation urns, cremation urn vaults, and cremation keepsakes.

• Crematory added in 2006. We now do cremations on site.
• We continue to update and expand our facilities to continue to meet the needs of today’s families.

The Wallace Family

Our History

Wallace Family Funeral Home was started by Gary and Pat Wallace in 1999. Gary was a Newton High School graduate in 1975 and Pat was a Lynnville-Sully High School graduate in 1973. Gary’s parents, Arthur and Fritzie Wallace, and Gary’s uncle and aunt, Albert (Arthur’s twin brother) and Helen Wallace started their funeral service to the Newton area in July of 1963.

Gary and Pat Wallace have three daughters, Chantelle Beiner and her husband, Bob; Heather Hiatt and her husband, Tony; and Nikki Hartz and her husband, Rob; and their five grandchildren, Amity, Jacey, Dylann, Derek and Carly.
