Isabelle D (King) Cox

Isabelle Dean Cox born October 29,1931 went to her heavenly home on June 10, 2017.  Isabelle was raised in Des Moines and graduated from East High School in 1950.  She married Richard William Cox on February 6, 1951.  Isabelle was a long time member of the Foursquare Church and the Community Heights Alliance Church.  She worked at the Pentagon while her husband was deployed and then worked in several businesses in Newton. 

Isabelle is survived by her daughters Vicki Schutt of Des Moines and LeAnn (Dwight) Ponder of Wentzville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Bethany, Brandi, Sara, and Jason; two great-grandchildren, Royce and Hailey; and her sister Evelyn (Ted) Pike of Des Moines.  She was preceded in death by her mother Jeanette(Nettie) King, her father Pearl (Babe) King and her husband Richard (Bill)Cox.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 17, at the Wallace FAmily Funeral Home and Crematory.  The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be made out to Park Centre Garden View where Isabelle was a resident for four years.
