Joe Hodges was a beloved father, husband, grandfather , father in law, friend and brother to many. He was my friend and father for 35 years and filled the spot of dad after my dad passed. I have many wonderful memories of Joe, from driving up to help us fix our car in MN on his Saturday and back home, eating at Russ & Abby's La Pizza house, crying at the birth of his first granddaughter, mowing his big yard, working in his garage, always with Nyla nearby. He showed his love by showing up and supporting his family in their endeavors of growing up and trying new things. If any of us needed anything Joe was there. Joe came close to death numerous times and always seemed to pull through, we believe God gave him extended life for our mom who had been by his side for 62 years. This past year they took their hardest journey yet, into Assisted Living memory care. It was hard in all of us but they had each other until the end. I hate goodbyes, I hate the part of "missing " people so very bad. What I love is that I have eternal life with Joe because I remember the day he gave his life to Jesus, 21 years ago and how sincerely he prayed to Jesus to forgive him his sins and take him to heaven one day when he would pass from this life to the next. Therefore I will not say goodbye but only see you later❤️
All my love to Nyla, mom, and my family.
