Larry Bruce Quick

Larry Bruce Quick, 68, of Toledo, formerly of Newton, died on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.  A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m., Tuesday, June 20, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.  Memorials in Larry’s name may be left at the funeral home.

Larry, the son of Marvin and Betty (Nichol) Quick, was born on April 26, 1949 in Clinton, Iowa.  He grew up and lived in Newton until he was 55 when he moved to the Toledo area.  Larry loved being outdoors; fishing, hunting, and trapping.  He also enjoyed socializing over coffee at the Newton Hy-Vee and Midtown Café.

Larry is survived by his son, John (Amiee) Quick of Kellogg; three grandchildren, Garrett Quick, Chelsea (Jeremy Carkhuff) Anderson, and Mitch Anderson; his siblings, Mark (Pam) Quick, Russ Quick, Tommy Quick, Carolyn Bakalar, JoAnn (Ron) Becker, Diana (Jim) Lyman, Mike Quick, Roger Quick, Lanny Quick, and Judy Mays; and his many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jimmy Quick, Butch Quick, and Jon Quick in infancy.
