Linda Lea (Bernard) Campbell

Linda Lea Campbell, 68, of Newton, died Monday, April 17, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A private family service will be held. Memorials to Linda’s family can be sent to the family or left at the funeral home.  If mailing to the funeral home, please add, “Attn: Campbell Family” to the envelope.

Linda, the daughter of Peter Francis and Eileen May (Drewelow) Bernard, was born May 3, 1948, in Des Moines. She worked as a CNA at Iowa Lutheran Hospital and other locations.  She was united in marriage with Barry P. Campbell on March 23, 1998 in Des Moines. She and Barry had lived in Newton for over 10 years.

Those left to honor Linda’s memory include her children:  Marlene (Barry) Kelderman of Oskaloosa, Eileen (Scott) Tubaugh of Grimes, Mark Lipson of Des Moines, Pete Payne of Oskaloosa, and Micheal Payne of Newton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Lyle) William; brother, Rick Bernard; and her nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Barry in December 2016; son, Mark Payne; and a sister, Doreen Bernard.
