Nathan Ryan Dow Landis

Nathan Ryan Dow Landis, 34, of Lincoln, California, formerly of Newton, died on Saturday, April 16, 2016.  A funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 27, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Newton. The family will greet friends from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, at the funeral home.  Memorials in Nathan’s name may be left at the funeral home.

Nathan, the son of Anthony Landis and Kay Dow, was born on December 29, 1981.  He grew up and lived in Newton until moving to California five years ago.  Nathan was working as a machine operator at the San Francisco Bay Coffee Company and studying welding at Sierra College.  He loved baseball and was still a huge fan of Little League Baseball in Newton.  He also enjoyed Frisbee golf, mushroom hunting, fishing, and being with his friends. 

Those left to honor Nathan’s memory are his mother, Kay Dow of Newton; father, Anthony (Charlene) Landis of Des Moines; two brothers, Isaiah and Justin; five sisters, Sheena, Sara, Lynsi, Maddison, and Kaysi; his grandmothers, Rosa Dow and Carolyn (Al) Flowers; his fiancée, Casey Greene and her parents, Scott (Linda) Greene and Karen Greene; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Stanley Dow  

Nathan’s family would like to thank everyone for their help and support during this time.
