Nathan Andrew Tyler

Nathan Andrew Tyler, 33, of Newton died on Saturday, October 14, 2017.  The family will greet friends from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.  

Nathan, the son of Vernon and Delores (Drabek) Tyler, was born on April 19, 1984 in Des Moines.  He grew up in Des Moines and graduated from East High School.  Nathan then received his degree in Auto Mechanics from DMACC. Nathan had lived in Colfax for a number of years before moving to Newton where he worked at Nehring Auto.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, going to the lake with his family, and cheering on the Miami Dolphins.  Nathan’s favorite thing to do though was ride motorcycles. 

Those left to honor Nathan’s memory are his daughters, Meridith and Andrea Tyler and their mother Sara Pratt; his parents, Vernon and Delores Tyler of Prairie City; paternal grandma, Anna Tyler of Maxwell; siblings, Angel Dodson of Maxwell, Heather (Jeff) Fox of Newton, Jennifer McNally of Des Moines, and Crystal (Brian) Thompson of Bondurant; nieces and nephews, Emma Fox, Carissa Kuehl, Scott Day, Cassandra Day, Corey Thompson, and Dustyn Matters; his great-nephew, Hendrix; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Velmah Tyler and maternal grandparents, James and Vera Drabek.
