| Visitation: The family will greet friends from 6-8 P.M., Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the funeral home. | |
| Funeral Service: 10 A.M., Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at the funeral home. | |
| Interment: There will be a coffee time following the funeral service. After the coffee time there will be a family burial on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Newton Union Cemetery. | |
| Those left to honor Alfred's memory are his wife, Mary of Newton; 2 sons, Rod Wilson of New Boston, TX and Todd Wilson of Dubuque, IA; his daughter, Cindy (Ed) White of Clive, IA; 7 grandchildren, Crystal, Joseph, Aaron, Heather, Lindsay, Joshua, and Sarah; his 3 great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Madelaine, and Keiarra; and 2 sisters, Beverly (Robert) Donels of Waterloo, IA and Sheri (Owen) Swanson of Wilmington, NC. | |
| He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Lucille (Trotter) Wilson, Sr.; step-mother, Jennifer (Trotter) Wilson; and 2 sisters, Judith, in infancy, and Bonnie Caulkins. | |
| Alfred graduated from Newton High School and served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. | |
| He worked in the Maintenance Department for the Newton Community School District beginning in 1953 and retiring in 1988. | |
| Memorials in Alfred's name may be left at the funeral home. | |
