| Those left to honor Clair's memory are his son, Trenton (Shelley) Wilson of Franklin, Texas; his daughter, Jana Lee and Randy Cooper of Beaverton, Oregon; two step daughters, Alaina (Nick) Sullivan of Omaha, Nebraska, and Amanda (Chris) Schemel of Orlando, Florida; his five grandchildren, Kayla Joy , Emma Grace, and Jack Crain Wilson, and Reagan and Madison Cooper; brother, Leon (Wilma) Wilson of Grinnell; and sister, Kathy (Duane) Larsen of Grinnell. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Paul and Imodell (McCaslen) Wilson; wife, Marsha J. (Crain) Wilson; wife, Twyla Dawn (Lee) Wilson in 2005; daughter, Valarie Jo (Wilson) Terry in 2004.

| Clair was a 1957 graduate of Grinnell High School in Grinnell, Iowa. Clair grew up in the rural Kellogg and Grinnell area before he moved to Newton in the mid 1980’s. | |
| Clair was a salesman having worked many years for the Moorman Feed Company. He was a member of the Newton Masonic Lodge No. 59 A.F. & A.M. Clair loved to collect coins and at on time had an extensive tractor collection.
