| Those left to honor Henrietta's memory are her son, Sherman (Sue) Swank of Newton; 3 daughters, Kay Swank of Valley, Nebraska, Priscella (Gary) Davis of Newton, and Rebecca (Howard) Victor of Indinaola; her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Dora Lamers and Lillian Van Arkel, both of Oskaloosa; and her sister-in-law, Ethel Van Ommen of Oskaloosa. | |
| She was preceded in death by her parents,Gerritt and Maggie (Klein) Van Ommen; husband, Pete in 2003; 7 brothers, Ben, Henry, John, Dick, Walter, Garry, and Tunis Van Ommen; and 5 sisters, Elizabeth Van Ommen, Maggie Van Roekel, Irene Van Mersbergen, Pearl Kitzman, and Nellie Ver Beek. | |
| She was a farmer, farmer's wife, cook, baker, waitress, housekeeper, an all around hard worker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and canning. She also loved to spend time with her family. | |
| She had been a member of the Community Reformed Church in Newton since 1962. | |
