| Those left to honor Gieula's memory are her 2 children, Tom Morgan and Kathy Hackathorn, both of Newton; 3 grandsons, Chris Morgan of Ft. Collins, CO, Ryan Hackathorn of Newton, and Adam Hackathorn of Newton; 2 granddaughter-in-laws, Amy Hackathorn of Newton and Andrea Hackathorn of Naples, FL; 6 great-grandchildren, Chelsie, Megan, and Ashley Hackathorn and Ryanne, Aidyn, and Mikayla Hackathorn; and her brother, Ivan McCullough of Russell, Iowa. | |
| She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Maude (Hill) McCullough; husband, George Morgan in 1981; her 2 sisters, Eileen Smith and Lois Orfield; and a grandson, Michael Hackathorn. | |
| Gieula graduated from Garden Grove High School. | |
| In 1949, Gieula and George moved to Newton, Iowa. She worked in the factory at the Maytag Company for 30 years, retiring in 1982. | |
