| Those left to honor Dick's memory are his 2 sons, Don Winton and his fiancee, Joanne Finn, of Newton and Kevin (LeAnn) Winton of Newton; 2 grandchildren, Sophie and Alex Winton, both of Newton; his 2 sisters, Claudia Stevens of Newton and Zela Martin of Alpharetta, Georgia; and a sister-in-law, Sue Winton of Manchester, Tennessee. | |
| He was preceded in death by his parnets, James G. and Maggie (Kidd) Winton; wife, Shirley in February of 2009; and two brothers, Fred and James Winton. | |
| Dick was a tool cutter for 42.8 years at the Maytag Company, retiring in 1992. | |
| He was a member of the UAW Local 997 Retiree's Union and the Newton Masonic Lodge No. 59 A.F. and A.M.. He loved to go hunting and fishing. | |
| Memorials in Dick's name or to Hospice of Jasper County may be left at the church on the afternoon of the service or at the funeral home. | |
