| Those left to honor Ida May's memory are her husband, Don of Newton; daughter, Cindy (Manzar) Shah of Newton; and two sons, Donnie (Terri) Morris of Sully, and Larry E. (Melissa) Morris of Newton; and her six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Harriet (Ball) Masters; son, Garry W. Morris in 2001; son-in-law, Michael A. Woody in 2004; brother, Ed Masters; and two sisters, Melva white and Doris Haines.

| Ida May was a graduate of Newton High School in 1953. | |
| Ida May was an active member of the Salvation Army in Newton, where she was a member of the Women’s Fellowship and she was the Community Cares Community Sergeant. Ida May was also the Salvation Army Church organist. | |
| Ida May loved taking care of and watching over her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting, music, and listening to the Gaithers. | |
