| Interment: Immediately following the funeral serivce on Friday, December 11, 2009 at McKeever Cemetery in rural Colfax, Iowa. | |
| Those left to honor Donald's memory are his 2 sons, Donnie N. (Terri) Morris of Sully and Larry E. (Melissa) Morris of Newton; daughter, Cindy (Manzar) Shah of Newton; his 6 grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Dorothy Phipps of Grinnell and Virginia Padgett of Dublin, Georgia. | |
| He was preceded in death by his parents, Moreau and Lillian (Simmerman) Morris; wife, Ida May on 11/24/2009; son, Garry W. Morris in 2001; son-in-law, Michael A. Woody in 2004; and 2 brothers, Moreau "Spud" Morris, Jr. and Esley Morris. | |
| Donald worked at the Grinnell Foundry, Langs Dairy in Grinnell, and then as a factory worker for Maytag for 30 years, retiring in 1984. Afeter he retired he did some carpentry and plumbing work. | |
| He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. | |
| In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Salvation Army may be left at the funeral home. | |
