| Interment: A private family burial was held on Monday, March 22, 2010 at Newton Union Cemetery. | |
| Those left to honor Rose Ann's memory are her husband, Robert J. McNeer of Newton; daughter, Linda (Scott) Miller of Tierra Verde, Florida; son, Joseph McNeer of Toronto, Canada; 3 grandchildren, Christy, Robert, and David Annis; her sister, Marjorie (Emerson) Singer of Wilson, North Carolina; and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. | |
| She was preceded in death by her parents, Derry J. and Cepha (Kirsch) Emerson; brother, Paul Emerson; and two sisters, Mary Hildebrand and Carroll Warhola. | |
| Rose Ann was a graduate of Martensdale High School in 1946. That same year she moved to Newton, Iowa. Rose Ann and Bob owned and operated McNeer Greenhouse for many years. | |
| She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Red Hat Society. | |
| In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice of Jasper County may be left at the church the morning of the service. | |
