| Those left to honor Betty's memory include her 3 sons: Sam (Jane) Shea of Cedar Falls, Dan Shea of Newton, and Tim (Becky) Shea of Newton; and 3 grandsons: Mark Shea (Elizabeth Kleinsasser) of Newton, Matt Shea of Newton, and Scotty Shea of Cedar Falls. | |
| Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Hazel Irene (Curnes) Shepherd; her first husband, Dewaine E. Shea in 1978, and her second husband, Larry Collum in 2009. | |
| Betty had worked at the Newton Cafe, Mason's Restaurant, and Honeycorr. She was a member of Community Heights Alliance Church. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, talking with friends, having coffee, baking, and cooking. | |
| Memorials to Hospice of Jasper County or Community Heights Alliance Church may be left at the funeral home. | |
