| Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at the funeral home. | |
| Interment: Immeidately following the funeral service on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Oralabor Cemetery in Ankeny, Iowa. | |
| Those left to honor Lucille's memory are her 3 daughter's, Peggy (Robert) Hall of Des Moines, Mary (William) Mahedy of Des Moines, and Susan (Norman) Bebout of Ankeny and her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. | |
| She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lillie Minnie (Payne) Melton; 1st husband, Woodrow A. Ruth in 1982; 2nd husband, James D. O'Roake in 2002; her daughter, Lillie P. Ruth in infancy; daughter, Caroline Blackwood; grandson, William Mahedy; and 7 brothers and sisters. | |
| Lucille was a homemaker, but had also worked in the kitchen for the Des Moines School Board and Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance of Iowa. After moving to Newton in 1982 she worked at the Newton Senior Citizens Center and for Progress Industries. | |
| Lucille was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Newton. | |
| Memorials in Lucille's name may be left at the funeral home. | |
