| Funeral Service: 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the funeral home. | |
| Interment: Following the funeral service on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Graham Cemetery in rural Mingo. | |
| Those left to honor Marilyn's memory include her husband, Max of Colfax; son, Sohn (Susan) Wallace of Urbandale; daughter, Sherina (Jimmy) Terrell of Chariton; 6 grandchildren: Brady, Connor, and Sophie Wallace and Heather Terrell (and fiance Aaron King), Alyssa and Saydee Terrell; her great-grandson, Kyler Terrell; 2 brothers: Don (Diane) Yoakum of Newton and Larry (Bonnie) Yoakum of Colfax; and several nieces and nephews. | |
| She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Elma (Eatwell) Yoakum. | |
| Marilyn was a lifelong resident of the Colfax area and graduated from Colfax High School in 1961. She had worked for Preferred Risk Insurance, Newton Manufacturing, American Mutual Life, and had owned A-Seeding Contractors of Colfax. She was a member of IPMA and AGC. | |
| She enjoyed traveling, working in her garden, and spending time with her grandchildren. | |
