| Those left to honor Bob's memory are his two sons, Robert G. (Vicki) White of Harrisonville, Missouri, and Tim R. (Sue) White of Newton; his daughter, Linda M. Hammer of Newton; six grandchildren, Tammy White, Brian White, Melissa (Kenneth) Strand, Malaney (Chad) Burton, Amy White and Sabrina White; his eight great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson, his brother, Bruce E. (Carolyn) White of Newton, and his sister, Barbara Talbot of Newton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Robert and Emma Ethel (Watkins) White; wife, Mary in 1998; five brothers, Junior, Frankie, Charles, Barry L. and James White; and sister, Ethel Mae White in infancy.

| Bob graduated from Newton High School in 1946. | |
| Bob retired from the Newton Water Department after working 47 years. | |
| Bob was a member of the Emerson Hough Chapter of the Izaak Walton League. Bob loved being with or anything to help his family. He also enjoyed camping, fishing and stock car races. | |
