| Those left to honor Monte's memory are his wife, Mary Juett of Newton; 3 children, Renee (Rodrigo) Lozano of Dagsboro, DE, Sean (Shelly) Juett of Bennington, NE, and Stephanie (Mark) McFadden of Omaha, NE; his 6 grandchildren, Sarah Cristina Lozano, Catalina Nicole Lozano, Ashley Renee Van Fleet, Caitlin Mary McFadden, Natalie Marie McFadden, and Blake Patrick McFadden; sister, Dorothy (James) Bennett of Last Chance, OK; and 2 step-brothers, Steve (Carolyn) States of Oxnard, CA and David Graham of Des Moines, IA. | |
| He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Shirley (Riepe) Juett and two grandchildren. | |
| He grew up in Newton and attended Newton School. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1961. Monte was a security officer at the Maytag Company for over 39 years, retiring in 2008. | |
| Monte was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and UPGWA (United Plant Guard Workers of America). He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1961-1965. Monte enjoyed researching his Cherokee Indian heritage, biking, traveling and he was a huge history buff. He loved being with his family and conversing with people of all ages. He was a simple and humble man. | |
| In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church may be left at the church during the visitation or the service. | |
