Bradley Scott Eatwell, 59, of Newton died on Friday, October 25, 2019, at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines. A celebration of Brad’s life will be held at a later date. Memorials in Brad’s name to be used for his granddaughter, Raelynn’s education may be left at the funeral home (checks made to Jordan Eatwell or Maddison Rozenboom).
Brad, the son of Alfred and Wilma (Huff) Eatwell, Jr., was born on November 11, 1959 in Newton. He graduated from Newton High School in 1979. Brad was united in marriage with Valera “Biss” Flemming on May 25, 1985 in Newton. He worked for the Maytag Company before they closed. He then graduated from DMACC with his CDL and began trucking for Van Wyk Freight Lines. Brad also worked part time at True Value. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in the yard. Brad loved cheering on the Minnesota Vikings.
Brad is survived by his children, Jordan Eatwell of Newton and Maddison (Christian) Rozenboom of Oskaloosa; granddaughter, Raelynn; his mother, Wilma Eatwell of Newton; and siblings, Tony Eatwell of Florida, Rod Eatwell of Mitchellville, and Vicky Eatwell of Des Moines. He is preceded in death by his father, Alfred Eatwell.
