Carol Edith (Comer) Noe

Carol Edith Noe, 72, of Newton; formerly of Mingo died on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Mercy Medical Center - West Lakes in West Des Moines.  The family will greet friends from 10-11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 27, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials to the Mingo American Legion may be left at the funeral home.

Carol, the daughter of Oscar “Henry” and Bessie (Harris) Comer, was born on July 3, 1947 in Versailles, Missouri.  At a young age her family moved to Jasper County, Iowa where she would live the rest of her life.  Carol was united in marriage with Darrel Allen Noe on June 23, 1967 in Newton. For over 30 years, Carol worked in housekeeping at Skiff Medical Center. Carol enjoyed embroidery work and being outdoors, camping, gardening, and fishing.  

Carol is survived by her son, Sid Noe (Stephanie Yoakum) of Prairie City; grandchildren, MacKinzee (Jordan) Surber, Krystin Noe, and Riley Noe; her great-grandson, James; siblings, Mildred Rawlins of Newton, Judy (Dale) Vander Linden of Monroe, Steve (Pam) Comer of Newton, and Pat (John) Myers of Mingo; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darrel Noe in 2015; brother, Gene (Holly) Comer; and brother-in-law, Archie Rawlins.
