Dallis Harrison

Dallis Michelle Harrison, our beloved angel, left us suddenly on Friday, November 29, 2019, at the young age of 23.  A celebration of Dallis’ life will be held from 4-8 p.m., Friday, December 13, at Fore Seasons, 6232 Hwy S74 South.  Memorials to The AMP Program or to an education fund for Gema (checks made payable to Margaret Wilcox) may be left at the celebration or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.

Dallis, the daughter of Lacy (Harrison) Olson and Jeremiah Eilander, was born on November 9, 1996 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. She graduated from Basics and Beyond High School in Newton in 2015.  Dallis spent most of her young life in the Newton area.  She gave birth to her beautiful daughter, Gema Michelle Reeves on August 15, 2017 and she will be Dallis’ greatest legacy.

Dallis was a light surrounding your darkest day, always there when you called and one of the first to tell you everything would be alright.  She loved her daughter, Gema, more than life itself.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends more than anything. Dallis was involved with The AMP program for disadvantaged youth.  She loved visiting her family on trips to Mississippi. Dallis will be remembered and missed by so many people she’s touched throughout her young life.

Dallis’ memory will be carried on by many including her two year old daughter, Gema Reeves of Newton; mother, Lacy Olson of Newton; father, Jeremiah Eilander of Newton; her siblings, Danielle Harrison and her daughter, Aglaia Harrison, both of Colfax, Kylie Eilander and Trent Eilander, both of Newton; her grandparents, Maggie and Steve Wilcox, Kandi and Ed Eilander, Pam Harrison, Sharon Sampson, Bonnie and John Forker, and Lois Eilander, all of Newton, and David Hobbs, Sr. of Collins; aunts, Jeanie (Tom) Ellerbe of Gulfport, Mississippi Dotty (Joel) Sudbrock of Newton, Andrea Wilcox of Mitchellville, Whitney (Jeff) Wilcox of Grinnell, Carol Robison, Ashley Hansen, and Janet Rader, all of Newton; , her uncles, Josh Harrison, Brett (Lacey) Bozarth, Cody (Amanda) Jones, Josh (Ketra) Eilander, Tom Eilander, David Hobbs, Jr., Donnie Hobbs, Danny Hobbs, and David Robinson, all of Newton and George Ellerbe of Gulfport, Mississippi; and her many cousins, friends, and other loved ones.

Dallis was preceded in death by her brother, Isaiah Eilander; grandparents, Mike Harrison and Brenda Tope; great-grandparents, Cecil and Aglaia Clinton, Fred and Pat Harrison, Lloyd Eilander, and Betty Loudermilk; and an uncle, Rich Harrison.
