Debra "Debbie" Selby Obituary

A visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2019, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Newton.  There will also be a Celebration of Life beginning at 3 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2019, at the Newton VFW.  Memorials to Debbie’s family can be left at the funeral home or can be brought to the VFW. Please make checks payable to Chris Stoner.

   Debbie, the daughter of Glen T. and Bevyrlee Jeanne (Tool) Dickerson, was born April 1, 1952, in Newton. She worked for The Maytag Company for over 20 years and was a member of the UAW Local 997. She was united in marriage with Garry Selby in 1987. Debbie enjoyed camping and spending time with her family.

   Debbie is survived by her husband, Garry (who died June 23, 2019); children, Chris Stoner, Nikki Stoner, and Shane (Andrea) Selby; 7 grandchildren; her siblings, Danny Dickerson and Glenda (Ted) Wing; brother-in-law, Don Vander Putte; and many nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dustin Stoner; granddaughter, Payton True Brauch; and her siblings: Denise Vander Putte, Tammy Dickerson, Marvin “Doug” Dickerson, and Randy Dickerson.
