Kim's funeral service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, August 29th at the funeral home.
The family will greet friends from 10 a.m., on Thursday, August 29th until the time of service. Immediately following the service there will be a lunch in the social room at the funeral home.
Burial will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 3rd at the Newton Union Cemetery in Newton.
Kimberlee “Kim” John Waldman the son of Kenneth and Marilyn Muir Waldman was born on October 13, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa. Kim was a graduate of Lynnville-Sully High School in Sully, Iowa with the Class of 1970. He had also attended DMACC and received his Tinner Apprenticeship.
On May 16, 1998, Kim was united in marriage with Susan J. Kilfoil in Newton, Iowa.
Kim had worked various jobs in the Des Moines area, most recently he worked at Lennox in Urbandale.
He enjoyed retirement, spending time with his wife Susan, puttering in the yard and fixing anything that was broken. Kim was a happy guy when he had his head under the hood of a car or truck. He was a quiet and gentle man and Susan was the love of his life.
Kim passed away in his sleep on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at his home in Newton. He was preceded in death by his parents and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Susan; stepson, Patrick Clash; sister, Karla (Bill) Cooper and his uncles, Bruce, Leo and John.
