May Elizabeth Lisk, 87, of Baxter passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at MercyOne Newton Medical Center in Newton Iowa.  

There will be a private family burial at a later date.

May the daughter of Joseph and Margaret Kerr Beckey was born on July 14, 1932 in Middletown, Pennsylvania.  She married Lowaine Walter Lisk on March 12, 1951, in Rockford, Illinois.  She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Newton.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.  She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly, especially her little buddy Tristan.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Ronald Lisk of Baxter; her daughter, Shelley Johnson of Watkinsville, Georgia; her daughter-in-law, Macy Lisk of Baxter; grandchildren, Lisa Thornton of Baxter, Justin Lisk of Baxter, Natalie (Britt) Simonton  of Canton, Georgia; Zachary (Kelsey) Johnson of Watkinsville, Georgia and her great grandchildren, Mason, Addison, Tristan and Bennett; her sisters, Molly Schaffner of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania and Margaret Leader of Middletown, Pennsylvania; many other family members and friends.

May is preceded in death by her husband, sons, siblings, parents and grandparents.

Wallace Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton has been entrusted with the care of May and her family.
