Mike, the son of James Leroy and Nellie Mae (Hawk) Davidson, was born on January 11, 1953 in Centerville.  As a young boy, his family moved to Newton where he graduated from Newton High School in 1971.  Mike worked at the Newton Foundry as a Metal Pourer from 1973 until 1982.  On May 18, 1985, Mike was united in marriage with Carol Jean Garr in Newton.  He then worked in maintenance at Accura Healthcare of Newton East for over 18 years and at Accura Healthcare of Newton West for over 7 years. While there he also served as the UAW Local 997 Shop Chair, retiring in 2015 and becoming a UAW Local 997 Retiree.  Mike loved football and was a fan of the Chicago Bears for 30 years.  He also enjoyed collecting Civil War Memorabilia.
