Penny Jo (Swihart) Docekal

Penny Jo Swihart Docekal was born on July 2, 1952 in Newton, Iowa. She was a 1970 graduate of Knoxville High School in Knoxville, Iowa.

Penny was a homemaker and she had also worked at several other jobs. She enjoyed bowling. She loved animals, dogs, horses and many others.

Penny died on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Those left to cherish Penny’s memory are her son, Shawn Docekal of Marshalltown; two grandchildren, Daniel Docekal and Erica Docekal; her mother, Dee (Hubert “Butch”) Clark of Newton; and brother, Terry (Barb) Swihart of Newton.
