Roberta "Bobbi" Ann (Donahue) Hobbs

Roberta “Bobbi” Ann Hobbs, 80, of Kellogg died on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.  A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 22, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.  The family will greet from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, January 21, at the funeral home.  Memorials in Bobbi’s name may be left at the funeral home.

Bobbi, the daughter of Robert and Frances (White) Donahue, was born on December 16, 1937 in Newton.  She graduated from Newton High School.  On October 25, 1980 Bobbi was united in marriage with David Hobbs at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.  She worked at the Maytag Dairy Farm as the Cheese Plant Supervisor for 26 years, retiring in 2007. Bobbi loved to read and was a great cook.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family. 

Bobbi is survived by her husband, David Hobbs of Kellogg; children, William “Billy” Hobbs III (Michelle Jackson) of Kellogg, Kristin Davis of Ankeny, and David (Stephanie) Hobbs of Newton; her three grandchildren, Shannon Davis, Jaden Hobbs, and Cali Hobbs; great-grandchild, Lennon; her brother-in-law, Roy Hobbs of Montezuma; and her cousins, nieces, and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister in infancy; and six brother-in-laws.
