Anthony J. Politano

Anthony J. Politano, 79, of Newton, Iowa, died Saturday, June 13, 2020, at MercyOne Newton Medical Center in Newton. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Amsterdam, New York.  Anthony, the son of Pasquale and Antonina (San Filippo) Politano, was born January 27, 1941, in New York.  Anthony received a 2 year business degree from Albany Business College and later a Bachelor’s degree from The College of Saint Rose, both in New York State.  Survivors include his two daughters, Sharisse (Kevin) Joos of Dubuque, Iowa and Leeanne Faber of West Des Moines, Iowa; his grandchildren, Anthony Olson, Luke Hubbs, Nick (Jeni) Joos, and Andee Joos. He also has a great grandchild, Henry Joos.  Those preceding him in death include his parents, his sister and brother in law, and his wife Dolores “Dee” M. (Marlow) Politano.
