Bill E. Williams

   Bill Williams, 59, of Newton, died Friday, May 8, 2026. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Colfax Cemetery. Memorials in Bill’s name can be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory (please make checks payable to Gloria Williams.) 

   Bill, the son of Jack and Janice (Sholley) Williams, was born February 24, 1967.  He grew up in the Newton and Colfax areas. He had worked at McDonald’s and Hy-Vee. For the last 10 years, he had worked for Burger King, serving as the manager of Newton Burger King for the last 2 years.  Bill enjoyed fishing, boating, and hunting.

   Bill is survived by his son, Brian Williams; his sister, Gloria Williams of Des Moines; his niece, Amanda Connell; his nephew, Marty Miller; and his close friends, Jeremy and Whitney. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jerry Williams and David Williams.
