Carolyn Irene Cannon

Carolyn Irene Cannon, 67, of Newton died on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at Accura Healthcare of Marshalltown.  A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, June 1, 2020, at Sugar Grove Cemetery in rural Newton.  Memorials to Progress Industries may be left at the graveside or mailed to the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.

Carolyn, the daughter of George and Wilma (O’Riley) Cannon, was born on April 20, 1953 in Newton.  She was a lifelong resident of Jasper County. Carolyn was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  Carolyn always loved music; especially religious and Christmas music.  

Carolyn is survived by her sister-in-law, Connie Cannon of Newton; nephews, Will (Cassie) Cannon and Tom (Jen) Cannon; niece, Maggie Cannon; great-nephews, Lane, Trey, Oliver, and Case Cannon; and her many cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Cannon.
