Sue, the daughter of John Wesley and Rose Mae (Sager) Good, was born December 27, 1946.  She grew up in Colfax. Sue was united in marriage with Vernon Schlangen on August 12, 1978, in Newton.  She devoted her life to taking care of her family, making sure they always had what they needed and helping them any way she could.  Her favorite thing was spending time with them. Sue was a member of the Colfax Assembly of God Church and spent many hours reading her Bible.  She was a continual learner, always doing some sort of research or taking online courses.  She also enjoyed crocheting, essential oils, and helping with family genealogy.

Sue is survived by her children: Mari Danielson of Arizona, Ked Weithers, Jr. of Newton, Sandra Weithers of Newton, and Shawn (Alicia) Weithers of Newton; her grandchildren: Ashley (Nick), Amy (Matt), Amber (Josh), Brittney, T.J., Sarah, Rebekah, Kaylee, Jakob (Erin), Joshua (Leah), Jonathan, Laura, Jason, Jonah, Olivia, Sophie, Kelsie, Brooke (Scott), and Ridge (Jazmin); her great-grandchildren: Cayden, Derek, Tate, Colby, Bam, Gracie, Gavin, Landry, Errick Jr., Ryzer, Charlotte, Kinslee, Hadlee, Kyson, Rowen, Josalyn, and Noah; her siblings: John “Jack” Good, Jr., Robert (Donna) Good, Jim (Jennifer) Good, Jim (Debbie) Good, Leona (Ralph) Conner, and Kaye (Ray) Eilander; her aunt, Violet Gulling; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon in 2010; son, Ronnie Weithers; and her siblings: Rick, Mary, and infant brother, Marion.
