Clinton Bishop, Jr., 80 of Newton, died on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Valley Vista Nursing Home. No services are scheduled at this time.
Clinton, the son of Clinton and Ruby Dell (Hammond) Bishop, Sr., was born on September 8, 1945, in Ada, Oklahoma. He spent many years living in Colorado, graduating from high school in Denver in 1963. Clinton then served his country in the U.S. Air Force from June of 1963 through June of 1967. After the service, he returned to Colorado and was a warehouse worker. Clinton was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed reading and watching movies. For the last 10 years, he had lived in Iowa, most recently Newton.
Clinton is survived by his two daughters, Laura Schultz and Kathy (Bill) Stenson, both of Colorado; grandchildren, Alexandra Schultz, Joey Stenson, and Sydney Stenson; and his stepsister, Barbara Connor of Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clinton Bishop, Sr. and Ruby Becker; his wife, Karen Bishop; and a sister, Eula Mae Jackson Fraser.
