Colleen Ruggles Obituary

Colleen Louise Ruggles, 70, of Newton; formerly of rural Fairfield, died on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at her home. No services are scheduled at this time. The Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the cremation.

Colleen was born on October 15, 1949 to John Donald and Martha Pearl (Dorothy) Huffman in Ottumwa. She was united in marriage with Lloyd Owen Ruggles on November 29, 1968 in Kahoka, Missouri. They have one son, Bryan (Lisa) Ruggles of Oskaloosa; three daughters, Toni (Michael) Greene of Bernville, Pennsylvania, Brenda (Doug) Burden of New London, and Elizabeth Murray of Newton; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She also is survived by three sisters, Janet Smitz of Omaha, Nebraska, Sharon Boettcher of Moulton, and Virginia Buckler of Newton and one brother, Donald Huffman of Batavia.

Colleen enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, camping, and spending time with her husband and kids. Since the death of her husband she has cherished good times spent with her favorite little sister, Virginia. Colleen was blessed and thanks the Lord for her four wonderful children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Roger Huffman.
