David "Dave" Arthur Little

David “Dave” Arthur Little, 67, of Newton died on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, February 27, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. At the conclusion of the visitation there will be a time of sharing and storytelling. Memorials in Dave’s name (checks made payable to Colleen Little) may be left at the funeral home.

Dave, the son of Arthur and Betty (Troke) Little, was born on March 27, 1957, in Decorah.  As a young boy his family moved to the east side of Des Moines.  In 1975, Dave graduated from East High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Dave was united in marriage with Colleen Reuter on November 28, 1986, in Waterloo.  They lived all over the Midwest while Dave worked in outside sales. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and enjoyed keeping an eye on the basketball and football recruits that the Hawkeyes were after.  He also loved Elvis Presley and was known to pull a good prank to make people laugh from time to time. In September of 2023, Dave and Colleen moved to Newton to be closer to their young grandchildren.

Dave is survived by his wife, Colleen of Newton; children, Kim Little of Elko, Nevada, Patrick (Bailey) Little of Bondurant, and Joseph Little of Miami, Florida; his grandchildren, Jayden and Spencer Little; siblings, Bruce (Beatty) Little, Linda (Jerry) Villines, Cindy (Gerry) Glassman, Tim Little (Carla Yeager), Beth (Mark) O’Daniel, Barry Little, and Val Reagan; and his many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bob Little.
