Earl Richard Warner, 94, of rural Mingo died on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at MercyOne Newton Medical Center. No services are scheduled at this time. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Earl, the son of Arthur Merle and Mary Ellen (Miller) Warner, was born on September 9, 1925 in Marshall County, Iowa. He lived most of his life in the Jasper County area. The last 66 years he lived on the family century farm that was established in 1846. Earl was a farmer and retired several years ago. He never married. Earl loved to hunt, fish, and go hunting for morel mushrooms. He also enjoyed riding horses and had owned several.
Earl is survived by his brothers, Robert Warner of Newton and Ronald (Sue) Warner of Ankeny; sisters, Catherine Osborn, Patricia Horsman, and Margie Loupee, all of Newton; and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Frank Warner, Edward Warner, Commodore Warner, and Jerald Warner; two sisters, Nadine Fricke and Donna Ver Dught; five brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
