Edna (Lamma) Bailey

Edna Bailey, 64, of Lucas died on Monday, July 27, 2020, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.  A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2020, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.  Memorials to Edna’s family (check made payable to Aubrey Bailey) may be left at the funeral home. 

Edna, the daughter of Grant and Nellie (Wheeler) Lamma, Jr., was born on February 8, 1956 in Beardstown, Illinois.  She grew up in Illinois and graduated from Brown County High School. After high school she lived in Las Vegas, Nevada and Louisiana, before moving to Iowa in the early 1980’s.  Edna was a homemaker and had a heart for caring for people.  She could cook a “mean” meal and enjoyed coffee all day long. Edna had fun going to Prairie Meadows and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Edna is survived by her children, Beatrice Dawson of Des Moines, Audrey Bailey (John) of Newton, Edna Bailey (Dustin Breckenridge) of Monroe, Aubrey Bailey III (Lindsey Alford) of Pleasant Hill, and Larry Landgrebe, Jr. (Jennifer) of Knoxville; her 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one on the way; her siblings, Helen Lamma, Janet Lamma, Charlie Lamma, Carolyn Hendrickson, William Lamma, Clarence Lamma, Sandy Hobb, David Lamma, and Jimmy Lamma; her many nieces and nephews; the father of her children Audrey, Edna, and Aubrey, Aubrey Bailey, Jr. of Lucas and the father of her son Larry, Larry Landgrebe of Monroe.  She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Xandra; brother, Orville Lamma; sister, Rita Lamma; and her daughter Beatrice’s father, Earl Eddinger.
