Geraldine Faye Mason

Geraldine Faye Mason, 91, of Newton, formerly of Robbinsdale, Minnestoa, died on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Park Centre in Newton. No services are scheduled.

Geraldine, the daughter of Hollis and Marcella (Jans) Mason, was born on June 20, 1932 in Conrad.  She grew up in that same area and graduated from Garwin High School.  She then attended Bible College in Owattona, Minnesota before returning to Iowa and earning a nursing degree from Marshalltown Community College. Geraldine worked as a recovery room nurse for 25 years in Minnesota, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Fourth Baptist Church in Plymouth, Minnesota.  Geraldine was currently living in Newton to be closer to her family.

Geraldine is survived by her nieces and nephews and their families, Jerry (Kathy) Freese, Doug (Deb) Freese, Randy (Barb) Freese, Connie (Larry) Brown, Lisa Heiple-Robb, and David Heiple.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Shirley (Dave) Heiple, Carol (Dale) Lefevre, and Janice “Jo” (Jerome) Freese; her nieces, Vicki Smith and Tami Cadman; and nephews, Mike Lefevre and Todd Lefevre.
