Ian David Allen McCandless, the son of John R. McCandless and Jessica C. Renton was born on April 13, 1993, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Ian enjoyed being with his friends and family, working on cars and listening to music.

Ian died on Thursday, June 4, 2020 as a result of injuries suffered in an auto accident in Warren County, Iowa. He was 27. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Sherry McCandless.

Those left to cherish Ian’s memory are his children, Rylee and Alexandria; parents, Chris and Jessica Kovach of Newton and John McCandless of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his brothers, Connor McCandless of Des Moines and Devin Kovach of High Ridge, Missouri; grandparents, Cathy Pixler of Newton, Randy Pixler of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Linda Kovach of Aberdeen, Washington and Mike Kovach of Montesano, Washington; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
