Jean Ann Clark, 69, of Newton, formerly of Fairfield, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Valley Vista Nursing Home. No services are being held at this time. Memorials to the American Heart Association may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.
Jean, the daughter of John and Audrey (Stagers) Doud, was born on March 26, 1956, in Fairfield. She grew up in Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1974. Jean worked hard during her life to provide for her two sons, Gavin and Travis. She worked for Walmart, in the office for Books Are Fun, and was a bartender at the Fairfield Bowling Alley and other local establishments. Later in life, Jean would live in Newton for a period of time and worked at the Walmart there. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Jean is survived by her two sons, Gavin (Wayci) Clark of Fairfield and Travis (Cristy) Clark of Newton; five grandchildren, Austen, Lauryn, Preston, Blake, and Collin; and two sisters, Judy (Dennis) Johnson of Montana and Vickie (Eric) Bennett of Washington. She is preceded in death by her parents.
