Jeffrey Scott Pohl

Jeff was born on September 13, 1961 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He attended Fort Dodge Public Schools, graduating in 1979. He moved to Iowa City to attend U of I, graduating in 1986. He moved to Austin, Texas, living there for 12 years. Jeff moved back to Fort Dodge in 1998 to attend nursing school at ICCC, graduating with his RN degree in 2000. He worked at Newton Correctional Facility from 2000 to 2017 until his retirement.

He is survived by his sisters, Deb (Ken) Lasher, Vicki (Randy) Hartley, Pam (Keith) Yetmar and their families. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernita Pohl in 2012 and his father, Frank Pohl in 2014.

Jeff wants to be remembered for his love of his family and near and dear friends. His biggest loves of his life were his cherished and well-loved dogs, who preceded him in death. He had several that the sun rose and set on.
