Kathleen "Kathy" Rae (Cline) Vos Potter

Kathy’s graveside service will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, September 12th at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, south of Prairie City in Marion County at the intersection of 60th Ave. & 63rd Pl.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Orphan Angels Cat Sanctuary and Adoption Center in Erie, Pennsylvania; the memorials may be left at the funeral home in Newton or mailed to the Wallace Family Funeral Home, 1115 E. 19th St. N., Newton, IA 50208, please add, Attn: Potter Family on the envelope.

Kathleen “Kathy” R. Cline Vos Potter, the daughter of Alvin Gene and Helen Louise Gregory Cline was born on May 23, 1959, in Newton, Iowa. She was a graduate of Newton High School in 1977.

Kathy was the mother of Amber Marie Vos who preceded her in death in 2012.

Kathy had lived in Pennsylvania for about 20 years. She loved her family and friends. Kathy lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed cooking, loved animals and loved to party. Kathy had a big and caring heart.

Kathy died on Thursday, September 3, 2020, at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center in Des Moines. She was 61. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Amber; and brother, Rick Cline.

Those left to cherish Kathy’s memory are her sister, Mary “Cissie” Downing of Moulton; her brother, Randy Cline; many nieces and nephews; and all of Kathy’s stepfamily in Pennsylvania.
