Kimberly Kay Bair, 60, of Newton died on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at her home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2022, at Newton Union Cemetery. A celebration of Kim’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the Moose Lodge.
Kim, the daughter of John and Sharon (Stevens) Coady, was born on November 29, 1961 in Iowa City, Iowa.
Kim made her home in Newton where she was a member of the Women of the Moose, the Moose Lodge, and the Jasper County Church of Christ. In the Women of the Moose, Kim served in various leadership roles including Senior Regent, Jr. Graduate Regent, and Secretary/Treasurer. She also earned the Academy of Friendship Degree in 2021. Kim enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, camping, and going to the races. She love spending time with her family.
Kim is survived by life partner of 20 years, Gary Gillispie of Newton; mother, Sharon Gragg; children, Dustin Cooper and Jacqueline Cooper; grandchildren, Jazlynn Cooper, Sheighlynn Cooper, Colton Cooper, Kaiden Rogers, Bentley Wales, and Austin Petrie; and two brothers, Travis (Ardis) Coady and Terry (Kristy) Coady. She was preceded in death by her father, John Coady; brother, Ronald Coady; sister, Valarie Shepley; and grandparents, Clarence and Vivian Stevens and Vada Thompson.
