Kristen Nichole (Allen) Ewing

Kristen Nichole (Allen) Ewing, 25, of Newton died on Sunday, July 9, 2023. A celebration of Kristen's life will be held from 1-2 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2023, at The Way Discipleship Hall  In lieu of flowers or trees, memorials to be used for her daughter's care may be left at the funeral home (checks may be made to Riley Ewing or Shannon Allen). 

Kristen, the daughter of Zaheer Ditta and Shannon (Beckert) Allen, was born on February 23, 1998 in Elgin, Illinois. She grew up in the Elgin area before moving to Iowa in elementary school.  She graduated from Ankeny High School. In May of 2022, she moved to Newton.  On December 8, 2022, she was united in marriage in Riley Ewing. Kristen was a talented artist and enjoyed drawing and creating tattoos.  She also liked to read, play Sims, and baking.

Kristen is survived by her husband, Riley Ewing; daughter, Kyleigha Allen; her mother, Shannon (Dan) Allen; father, Zaheer (Sandy) Ditta; her step-mother, Jabin Khan; siblings, SeaAna Allen, Aminah Sparks, Neha Khan, and Imran Khan; maternal grandmother, Carol Heaton (Mark Beckert) and paternal grandmother, Attarjan Khan. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Lonnie Owsley.
