Lonnie Ray Owsley

 Lonnie Ray Owsley, 68, passed away peacefully on 06/16/2023, in Newton, IA ,surrounded by his loving children. He is originally from and a lifelong resident of Orient, IL. He leaves behind cherised memories and a legacy of love that will forever be held in the hearts of his family and friends.

Lonnie was born to Virgil and Juanita Owsley and was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jim Owsley, Marilyn Jane Votaw, and Sheila Monroe. Lonnie's presence will be deeply missed by his children, Shannon Allen (Dan Allen) and Lonnie Anthony Owsley. He was a loving grandfather to Kristen and SeaAna and took immense joy in being a great-grandfather to Kyleigha. Lonnie had a special bond with his niece, Christee, whom he adored and loved as a daughter.

In lieu of a formal service and flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations to assist with end of life and cremation expenses.

Lonnie will be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines, IA, finding eternal peace in a place that holds special significance to him and his family.
