Michelle Ann Jackson

Michelle Ann Jackson, 57, of Kellogg, formerly of Newton, died on Saturday, December 6, 2025.  A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.  Memorials in Michelle’s name (checks made payable to Mary Ann Newell) may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.

Michelle, the daughter of Robert D. and Mary Ann (Middleton) Jackson, Sr., was born on January 12, 1968, in Des Moines. She grew up in Newton and attended Newton Community Schools.  As a child, Michelle enjoyed going on camping trips and was a talented track and field athlete.  Michelle worked in Home Healthcare and later was a housekeeping supervisor at area hotels. She enjoyed watching NASCAR races, 60 minutes, and Saturday Night Live.  She was also the “mother hen” of the family, always worrying and taking care of others.

Michelle is survived by her mother, Mary Ann (Clayton) Newell; her siblings, Robert “Bobby” Jackson, Jr., Shelly Fitzgerald, and Mark (Lindsey) Porter; her significant other of 35 years, Billy Hobbs; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  She was preceded in death by her father; brothers, Jerald “Deuce” Porter II and Jerome “Jay” Jackson; sister, Sindy Wozniak; paternal grandparents, Harvey and Dorthea Jackson; maternal grandparents, Delos “Bill” and Wilma Middleton; and her aunts, uncles, and cousins, including aunt, Joanne Jackson and cousin, Deano Williams.
