Nancy Lea (Lear) Erickson

Nancy Lea Erickson, 56, of Newton died on July 4, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 11, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorials in Nancy’s name (checks to Randy Erickson) may be left at the funeral home.

Nancy, the daughter of Wayne and Gladys (Schulz) Lear, was born on November 28, 1966 in Newton. She was a lifelong resident of Newton. Nancy was united in marriage with Randy Erickson in 1993 in Newton. Nancy was a homemaker and enjoyed coloring.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Randy Erickson of Newton and siblings, LaVon Neely (Rick Hubbell) of Ankeny, Joyce (Marty) Ouverson of Ankeny, Vern Lear of Newton, Janice (Bill) Jenkins of Newton, and Karen Schoenrock of Ankeny. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Connie Jo Lear; and a brother, Bernard Lear.
