Nancy E. (Plummer) Illingworth

Nancy’s family will be having a private family service.

The family will greet family and friends from 1:30-3:30 p.m., Friday, February 14th at the Wallace Family Funeral Home.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Memorials to the Jasper County Animal Rescue League and Humane Society may be left at the funeral home. If you are mailing your memorial to the funeral home please add, Attn: Illingworth Family on the envelope.

Nancy Elizabeth Plummer Illingworth, the daughter of Kenneth and Darlene Howell Plummer was born on June 16, 1949 at Newton, Iowa. She was a 1967 graduate of Colfax High School in Colfax, Iowa.

On December 4, 1981, Nancy was united in marriage with Ted B. Illingworth in Colfax. She was blessed with four children, Don, Dena, Brooker and James. Nancy worked many years in the Jasper County Clerk of Court Office as a Deputy Clerk. She worked later as an executive assistant at the Newton Group. Nancy enjoyed doing crafts, gardening and going to Mardi Gras in New Orleans and taking in the many parades.

Nancy died on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at her home in Newton. She was 70. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ted of Newton; children, Don (Deedra) Wing, Jr. of New Orleans, Louisiana, Dena (Eric) Rinderknecht of Ankeny, Brooker (Allex) Illingworth of Newton and James (Robyn) Illingworth of Newton; six grandchildren, Paige Rinderknecht, Bryce Rinderknecht, Benton Meyer, Isabella Hartz, Ryder Hartz and Jameson Illingworth; and her siblings,  Kristy (Rich) Morris of Adel and Ken (Karen) Plummer of Ankeny.
