Nicole (Haselhuhn) Boothe

Nicole Renae Boothe, 39, of Des Moines, formerly of Newton, died on Thursday, February 5, 2026. A celebration of life visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, February 18, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.  Memorials in Nicole’s name (checks to Julie Schultz) may be left at the funeral home.

Nicole was born on February 17, 1986, in Knoxville, Iowa.  She grew up in Newton and graduated from Newton High School in 2004. Nicole was united in marriage with Andrew Boothe in the Spring of 2006 in Newton. They were blessed with one son, Drew. Nicole loved working in retail and was the Cato Store Manager in Newton for 10 years. She then was promoted to the role of District Manager. Nicole later worked for Adapt Health in Newton before moving to Des Moines and working at Bath and Body Works.  Nicole enjoyed cooking, makeup, and spending time with her kids.  She was ornery and a jokester and made friends very easily.  

Nicole is survived by her children, Drew Boothe and Stevie Boothe; mother, Julie (Kelvin) Schultz of Newton; maternal grandmother, Barbara Mohler of Newton; her siblings, Ashley (Richie) Lust of Newton and Mike (Cassy) Eppstein of Oklahoma; gift-siblings, Lisa (Jeff) Annee of Newton, Dawn Dee (Curt) Houseman of Monroe, Mindy (Dave) Samson of Sully, Teresa (Ryan) Brown of Monroe, Erin (Gary) Patterson-Dall of Illinois, Amanda Schultz of Des Moines, and Josh (Donna) Schultz of Newton; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father, Steven Patterson.
